We are thrilled to announce our sponsors for this year’s Edinburgh Deaf Festival are SignLive and House of Hearing.

Our headline sponsor is SignLive, a renowned BSL interpreting on-demand service. As a deaf-led organisation with a commitment to improving communication access, they are a perfect fit for the festival and we look forward to working together.

Fiona Mackay, Chief Operating Officer at SignLive said:

“SignLive are delighted to be the headline sponsor for the Edinburgh Deaf Festival, 2023. The Deaf Festival is an accessible celebration of deaf culture, language and heritage, which heavily reflects SignLive’s values. It is an event we feel honoured and excited to support and promote, with the events being accessible to deaf people and mainstream audiences the Deaf Festival is an amazing opportunity for everyone to immerse themselves in deaf culture and enjoy the rich variety of performances.”

We are also delighted to welcome House of Hearing as our Captioning Sponsor. Their generous sponsorship enables us to provide an increased number of captioners throughout the festival season, significantly enhancing the accessibility of various events.

Both sponsors joined us at the festival programme launch event on 21st June at the National Museum of Scotland, where we celebrated the beginning of our festival journey together. Thanks to our fantastic sponsors for supporting this year’s Edinburgh Deaf Festival. Together, we are making the festival season more accessible for deaf people.

Edinburgh Deaf Festival is a celebration of deaf culture, language and heritage, taking place from 11 to 20 August 2023. Find out more at the festival website.
