We are excited to announce that Deaf Action was commended in ‘Diversity Campaign of the Year’ category for our work on the Edinburgh Deaf Festival, at the recent Herald & GenAnalytics Diversity Awards 2023.
The award ceremony, which took place on 12 October, celebrated the work undertaken by organisations to help break down barriers, improve accessibility and promote diversity across Scotland.
Edinburgh Deaf Festival was ‘highly commended’ by the judges in the Diversity Campaign of the Year category. The festival aims to break down barriers between deaf and hearing festival-goers, promoting deaf culture and language to an international audience, as well as improving the accessibility of festivals across Edinburgh.
We are delighted to see the hard work and efforts of the whole festival team and Deaf Action being recognised by this commendation, and we look forward to continuing to champion and promote diversity and accessibility across the festival season. Thank you to The Herald and GenAnalytics for recognising our work.
