Deaf Action Giving Tuesday Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility:

  • The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and over residing in the UK.
  • All interested individuals, regardless of social media presence, are eligible to participate.
  • Employees, volunteers, and immediate family members of the charity are not eligible to participate.

2. Competition period:

  • The competition is run by Deaf Action, located at 49 Albany Street, Edinburgh EH1 3QY.
  • The competition begins at 12:01 AM on Tuesday, 28th November 2023, and ends at 11:59 PM on Friday, 8th December 2023 (GMT).

3. Entry requirements:

  • To enter the competition, participants must make a donation of £5 or more to Deaf Action during the competition period.
  • Donations must be made through Deaf Action’s online donation platform, CAF.
  • Each £5 donation will count as one entry into the draw.
  • Multiple entries are allowed, with each additional £5 donation earning an additional entry.

4. Prize:

  • One winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries to receive a £250 voucher for The Livingston Centre, located at Livingston, EH54 6QL.
  • Vouchers must be spent in store at The Livingston Centre and are not valid for online purchases.
  • Vouchers are valid until October 2024.
  • No cash or alternative prizes will be provided.

5. Winner selection:

  • The winner will be selected by a random draw conducted by Deaf Action within seven days of the competition closing.
  • The winner will be notified via the contact information provided during the donation process within 7 days of the draw.
  • If the winner fails to accept their prize within 14 days, they will forfeit the prize and another entry will be randomly selected.

6. Publicity:

  • By entering the competition, participants agree to the use of their name and image for promotional and marketing purposes related to the charity.

7. Donation refunds:

  • Donations made during the competition period are non-refundable.

8. Data protection:

  • Personal information provided during the competition will be used in accordance with Deaf Action’s privacy policy.

9. General conditions:

  • The charity reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these terms and conditions.
  • The charity reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time without prior notice.

10. Governing law:

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

By entering the competition, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
