Deaf support and equipment for events
Too often, deaf and hard of hearing people are excluded from events, due to their lack of accessibility. At Deaf Action, we are experts at providing you with advice to make your event inclusive to everyone.
We’ve listed a few examples below of specialist equipment available to rent, however, we are happy to discuss your needs and source any equipment needed.
Induction Loop systems
These enable hard of hearing people to hear spoken messages around them directly via their hearing aid. Loops are effective in reducing background noise and provide much more clarity. Suitable for:
- public consultations, conferences, and AGMs
- meetings, one-to-one consultations, conversation
- listening to audio recordings and music systems
Listening devices
These are suitable for hard of hearing people with hearing aids. Suitable for:
- gallery and museums tours, behind the scenes tours
- meetings, one-to-one consultations, conversation
- listening to audio recordings and music systems
