Thank you to our Deputy CEO, Liz Jones, as she retires
Deaf Action is marking an important moment in our organisation’s journey as our Deputy CEO, Liz Jones, retired on 31 December 2025.
Liz has been a central part of Deaf Action’s leadership for many years. Her impact stretches back to 2021, when she played a key role in the merger between Sonus and Deaf Action. At that time, Liz chose to move from CEO of Sonus to Deputy CEO of Deaf Action, putting the needs of the organisation and the deaf community first. Her leadership helped ensure a smooth transition, strong foundations, and stability during a time of significant change.
Throughout her time with Deaf Action, Liz has demonstrated exceptional dedication. She strengthened leadership across the organisation, supported staff, and helped guide major organisational change as we grew and evolved. Her commitment to equality, inclusion, and the wellbeing of our community has shaped Deaf Action in lasting ways.
We are deeply grateful for everything Liz has contributed. Her work, vision, and compassion leave an important legacy that will continue to influence Deaf Action for years to come.
On behalf of everyone at Deaf Action, we thank Liz for her outstanding service and wish her every happiness in her well-deserved retirement.
